‘Missing’ TV set hidden under blanket

Police responded to a call about a residential burglary in the 500 block of East McGaffey Street, Wednesday, after a person reported a 60-inch Hitachi TV stolen. Examination of the residence revealed the television set hidden under a blanket in the closet. The caller was cited for filing a false police report.

Armed robbery

Police [auth] were dispatched to Pecos Trail Transit, 515 N. Main St., around 8 p.m. Wednesday following an armed robbery. No further information is available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Criminal damage

Police were called to Mesa Middle School, 1601 E. Bland St., Wednesday, after vandals broke a door window, valued at $400.

Abandoned vehicle

Police were sent to South Park Cemetery, 3101 S. Main St., where a vehicle without license plates was found abandoned Wednesday morning. The owner arrived to pick up her vehicle that same morning. She told officers that she came to visit a grave, Tuesday night, and when she tried to leave, the gates were locked. She walked to a friend’s house. She said that the license plates were on the vehicle when she left it.
