Sarah T. Stillson 41, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at her home in Roswell.
She was born July 3, 1970, in New London, Conn., the daughter of Spencer and Eileen Trombly.
Sarah was a member of the Flanders Baptist and Community Church in East Lyme, Conn., where she married the love of her life Brian Stillson, who preceded her in death.
She is [auth] survived by her parents; and three sisters, Lorraine Ochoa, of Tucson, Ariz., Amy Jones, of East Lyme, and Ruth Berenji, of North Hollywood, Calif.
Sarah possessed an enthusiasm for people and animals. Her many friends ranged in age from small children to senior citizens, with whom she met daily on her paper route. Her great compassion for those who suffer led her to extend love and mercy to everyone she met.
She received degrees at Mitchell College in New London, Conn., and the University of Cincinnati, Ohio.
As a child, Sarah enjoyed life catching crabs at the beach, clamming at low tide, or happily commiserating with her adored sisters and cousins. Her sense of adventure led her to experience many wonderful times and occasions. She was a bright light in many lives and will be greatly missed.
“True compassion leads to sharing another’s pain; it does not kill the person whose suffering we cannot bear.” — Pope John Paul II
