Man on stolen motorcycle dies in Albuquerque crash

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Albuquerque police [auth] say a man driving a stolen motorcycle has died after running a stop sign and rear-ending a truck.

Police say in a statement that 37-year-old Brian Macgillivary died shortly after Saturday evening’s accident just east of the Downs at Albuquerque.

Macgillivary was reportedly driving northbound at high speed on Alcazar Street when he ran the stop sign at Grand Avenue NE and hit the pickup. He died on the way to a hospital after the 6 p.m. wreck. It isn’t known if he was wearing a helmet.
