Warrant issued for Albuquerque transit HR director

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — An arrest warrant has been issued for the human resources director at Albuquerque’s transit department after she failed to show up for a court hearing on charges she was driving [auth] drunk.

KOB-TV in Albuquerque reports ( ) that 36-year-old Selinda Guerrero didn’t appear for a hearing on Wednesday.

Mayor Richard Berry’s office confirmed Guerrero is charged with DWI and an open alcohol container.

A criminal complaint says Guerrero smelled of alcohol when she was pulled over by police in her Land Rover in November.

Guerrero reportedly admitted that she had been drinking at home before driving and offered to take a breathalyzer test. But police said she coughed into the device and caused a bad reading. They also found a cup containing alcohol in her vehicle.
