SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Santa Fe could see solar power arrays installed at three more city facilities if plans come to fruition.
The City Council could approve the installation of photovoltaic panels at the convention center downtown and a composting facility at the wastewater treatment plant this week. Both would be financed under a public-private partnership.
The Santa Fe New Mexican reports (http://bit.ly/t8NsjY ) that a third project would put solar panels on top of a city fire station. It’s financed differently.
The city already has solar panels in use at another part of the wastewater treatment plant, at the city’s transit yard and at a joint city-county water project.
