SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — The head of the New Mexico’s medical marijuana program has quietly resigned and nobody is saying why.
A state health department spokeswoman [auth] confirmed Thursday that Dominick Zurlo gave the state his notice about two weeks ago.
Aimee Barabe says she can’t comment on a personnel matter and referred questions to Zurlo.
Zurlo tells the Santa Fe New Mexican (http://bit.ly/t6aaAq ) he’s working for the state until Nov. 28 and can’t make any comments to reporters and referred questions back to Barabe.
Gov. Susana Martinez’s spokesman Scott Darnell says Zurlo resigned of his own accord.
