Perps nick suds from delivery truck
Police were dispatched to the Shell Station at 3001 N. Main St., Monday. An employee of the Admiral Beverage Co. said he was making a delivery when two white males in a white truck pulled into the parking lot. One man, wearing white-and-blue T-shirt, jumped from the vehicle, grabbed a case of beer, went back into the vehicle and his partner drove away.

• Police were called to the 700 block of West Summit Street, Monday, where [auth] subjects kicked in the front door of a residence. The victim reported that the drawers in the bedroom had been ransacked. A witness looked in the window of the residence and saw a Hispanic male wearing a red shirt, with white letters and the number “1.”
• Police were dispatched to Rosarios Café, 2019 S. Main St., Monday, after a burglar was caught. The victim said that he surprised the suspect as he was stacking miscellaneous pieces of metal near the back door. This is the second incident of this kind. In a previous break-in, the subjects took copper. The suspect was described as a long-haired, 40-year-old Hispanic male, wearing dark jeans, dark T-shirt and dark jacket. The metal, including brass foot rail, was valued at $200. Damage to the rear door, which had been pried open, was estimated at $100.
• Police were called to the 600 block of East Apple Street, Monday, after subjects gained entry into a residence and removed an Xbox 360.

Police received a walk-in report of fraud, Monday. The victim reported that he had an ATM card that he never used and when he went to pay bills, he discovered he was short of funds. A records check revealed $5,090 missing from the account as a result of ATM withdrawals.
