Thieves break into vehicle

Police were called to the 1100 block of West Second Street, Monday. The victim told officers she found the right rear door window broken out and laying on the ground. The value of items stolen from the vehicle according to reports is $440.

•The police were dispatched to the [auth] 1200 block of South Michigan Avenue, Monday. The victim reported that someone entered the vehicle and removed two CD cases with 50 CDs.


Police were called to the 800 block of West South Plains Park, Monday, where two custom saddlebags were stolen from the victim’s motorcycle. The saddlebags’ contents included a black leather jacket, chaps, gloves, two pairs of safety glasses and a set of Harley tools.


Police received a walk-in report of fraud, Monday. The victim came in from Carlsbad. The victim stated she made a car payment with a money order. The money order was cashed, but the car dealer says he never received it. The case remains under investigation.
