Police nab burglar in [auth] the act
• Police were called to the 1400 block of S. Elm Avenue, Wednesday, for a burglary in progress. The victim found a subject, wearing black clothes with white lettering on the back, in the bedroom of the residence. The bedroom window was broken and the subject fled the scene.
• Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of South Missouri Avenue, Wednesday, after someone gained entry into a residence and took a 64-inch Sony plasma television, a 64-inch Toshiba plasma television, a Wii game system, a Dell laptop computer and miscellaneous clothing. Investigation revealed that the subjects gained entry through the front door and two computer speakers were dropped outside the back window. The items were valued at $6200.

• Police were sent to Little Lambs Learning Center, 2300 S. Main St., Wednesday, after a subject removed a surveillance camera from the outside of the building. The victim stated that this was the second time this had happened.
