Thieves try to break into vehicles with BB guns and rocks
Police were called to the 1500 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue, Sunday, after someone shot the driver door of a vehicle with a BB gun.
• Police went to the 200 block of East Bonney Street, where a subject threw a rock through the rear window of a vehicle. Damages are estimated at $500.

• Police were dispatched to the 400 block of East Hendricks Street, Sunday, where subjects removed a [auth] 12,000 BTU air conditioner.
• Police were called to the 900 block of Hickory Street, Sunday. The victim reported that someone took a Brute 22-inch, self-propelled lawn mower valued at $199, from her yard.

Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of South Monroe Avenue, Sunday, after a victim was punched in the face. Allegedly the individual who hit the victim did so because he did not report a battery upon another person that occurred earlier that day. The victim refused to press charges. Meanwhile, the suspect of the first incident was arrested on charges of battery and false imprisonment.

Police responded to a call from Roswell Livestock and Farm Supply, 1105 E. Second St., Saturday, where a shoplifter was detained after attempting to leave the store with a sport training dog collar, valued at $111.

Police were dispatched to the Spanish Calvary Baptist Church, 600 E. Tilden St., Saturday. A subject or subjects gained entry into the church by removing a window air conditioner. Among the items stolen were the air conditioner, a computer, printer and monitor, and a plant. Estimated value of missing items is $1,130.
• Police were called to West Byrne Street, Friday, where subjects entered a home and took a 17-inch HP laptop and three LG Runner Cellphones. The victim also reported that someone had tampered with a desktop and a DVD player. Missing items were valued at $900.
