RPD seeks info on robbery

Roswell Police Department is seeking assistance from the public for information on an armed robbery that took place on Aug. 18, 2011, at Allsup’s, 520 E. Second St.

Police responded to a silent alarm from Allsup’s around 11 p.m. A 911 call came in a [auth] few minutes later. The clerk reported that the store had been robbed at gun- point.

The subjects got away with several personal items from the clerk, two 30-packs of beer and an undisclosed amount of cash.
One of the two subjects was described as being heavy set and Hispanic.

The second, Adam Cruz, was apprehended less than 24 hours later after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was recognized by a U.S. Marshall on South Pine Avenue and picked up. He is charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
