•Police were dispatched to Allsup’s, 520 E. Second St., Friday, where it was reported that an employee had given away 15 24-packs of beer, four to five cartons of cigarettes, 10 candy bars and one soda refill, with a total estimated value of $660.


•Police were called to the [auth] 1000 block of South Lea Avenue, Friday, where a heat pump was removed from the yard. Replacement costs are estimated at $1,000.

•Police were sent to Huerta Court, Saturday. The victim reported that a Craftsman lawnmower, a Toro two-inch trimmer, a Craftsman blower, a Weed Eater, a garden hose and an antique tin box with mildew on the bottom were stolen from her garage.


•Police were dispatched to Dollar General, 1012 S. Main St., Friday, after an employee was attacked when she attempted to stop a shoplifter from leaving the store. The victim said that the shoplifter tried to push her and then hit her and pulled her hair, causing her to fall. The subject is described as a female who is 5-feet, 3-inches tall, 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. The items taken were a curling iron and deodorant, valued at $18.
