ENMU-R dental program successful

Recent graduates of the ENMU-Roswell Dental Hygiene Program are report[auth] ing excellent board certification scores. Additionally, of the ten students who graduated in December of 2010, two graduates, Arin Bratcher (CRDTS/Amarillo) and Angie Flores (WREB/Dallas) scored 100 percent on their southwest regional clinical boards. ENMU-Roswell offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene and a Certificate of Occupational Training in Dental Assisting.
According to Dianne Petrale, clinical instructor for the Dental Hygiene Program, graduates Naomi Amador, Mari Morillon and Angie Brim, all recently received their passing National Board scores and will be receiving state licensure soon.
“We have many good successes within this program and are happy to share it with the campus and the community,” said Petrale. “We also want to extend our services to the campus faculty, staff, and students as a reminder that they receive dental hygiene services at no cost. This includes dental cleaning, radiographs, examination, and fluoride treatment. We have nine students who are actively scheduling patients and will be available until the last week of July, and then again the fall and spring semesters.
