Our mother Ieft her worldly body on May 29, 2011. She was born in upstate New York to Charles Wilcox and Nellie Jones Wilcox on Feb. 12, 1926.

She married Myron Josh, and to this marriage Myron Josh Jr. was born. Myron Josh Sr. was killed in France during World War II. She married Alfred Leroy Smart on June 29, 1946, and gave birth to five sons and five daughters. She was preceded in death by her [auth] loving husband Alfred in 1987; and her sons, Myron Josh Jr. and David Smart; brothers, Lawrence, Wesley and Stanley Wilcox; sisters, Vera Horn Smith, Jenny O’Brien, Ruth Smart and Anna Horn.

Lucile is survived by her brother, Wayne Wilcox, of Tucson, Ariz.; sons, Stephen Smart (wife Julie), of Syracuse, N.Y., Lawrence Smart, who was her caregiver for the last seven years of her life, of Roswell, Stanley Smart (wife Deborah), of Livingston, Mont., and Alfred Smart Jr. (wife Christina), of Marcellus, N.Y.; daughters, Audrey Everhart (husband Ken), of Winthrop, N.Y., Diane Carter (life partner Bud Francoeur), of Cicero, N.Y., Robin Kerns Carey (husband Jef f), of Roswell, Cheryl Petencin (husband Gerald), of Charlottesville, Va., and Anna Willbanks (husband Gary), of Roswell. She was also blessed with 29 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Lucile also loved her pets and they were the source of great joy to her throughout her life. A memorial service will be performed at Belle Isle Cemetery, Camillus, N.Y., at a later date and her ashes will be buried beside her late husband, Alfred and her sons. Lucile was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
