Vandals smash auto windows

•Police were called to t[auth] he 300 block of East Ballard Street, Thursday. The victim reported that he parked his vehicle at 10 p.m., Wednesday. The following morning the driver’s window and the windshield were shattered.

•Police were dispatched to Samons Do It Yourself Center, 1412 W. Second St., Wednesday, after subjects cut through the chain link fence. The manager said he did not know if anything were missing.


•Police were sent to 600 N. Union Ave., Wednesday, for an agency assist. Officers arrived to find a Jeep on fire. The victim stated that she left the car locked after she had battery problems and she did not know why anyone would attempt to damage her car.


•Police received a phone in report of embezzlement, Wednesday, from South Environmental Services, 2400 S. Loop. The manager reported that charges of $2,022 and $669.91 were made to their account at Roswell Livestock and Farm Supply. An employee at Roswell Livestock provided a name to the police and said the order was called in. The manager of South Environmental stated that it could not be the named employee, who was not an English speaker.

Stolen vehicle / battery

•Police were dispatched to A Street, Wednesday, after a car disappeared from where it was parked. The victim said she went to ask a neighbor, who called her a snitch and threw a beer bottle at her, hitting her in the face. Officers took a picture of the victim’s injuries.
