Shopper’s purse picked

•Police were called to Walmart, 4500 N. Main St., Wednesday, where a woman reported someone had gone into her purse and removed $400 from her wallet.


•Police received a phone in report of burglary, Wednesday. The victim stated that someone entered his car and took a [auth] green backpack with textbooks, an Acer laptop with carrying case and cables, an Alpine audio amplifier and an Alpine CD/DVD changer. Total value of missing items is estimated at $3,400.

•Police were called to the 1000 block of Crescent Drive, Tuesday, where batting gloves, a silver and black Easton baseball bag, a catcher’s mitt, five baseball gloves, baseball hoses, black catcher’s gear, two 12-inch MTX subwoofers, an MTX 400 watt amplifier and a JVC CD player were stolen from a vehicle. Estimated losses are $1,335.

Criminal damage

•Police were dispatched to the 500 block of South Wyoming Avenue, Tuesday, after a subject punctured a tire on a state vehicle. Replacement costs are estimated at $100.
